WWC #91: 6 and “look up”

It’s Tuesday, and that means it is time for the Weekly Words Challenge.
Tink gave us the number 6 and the phrase “look up” for this week’s submissions.

Cape Disappointment 035

There are 6 people playing in the surf & sand of the Pacific Ocean. Now look up and see the birds in flight!

[Yes, this IS one of those desperate “look up” what is in my archives to find ANYTHING that might work for the theme kind of days weeks. All 3 of these photographs are from a camping trip to Cape Disappointment on the Washington coast back in 2006.]

Since I was overwhelmed last week (and this week is different?!??!?) here is “C” and Wood:

Wood: some dead, some alive

Be sure to check out Tink’s blog for her pictures. Many who post comments there are also WWC posters, and here is a list of regular participants.

  1. the beach! the birds!!!

  2. Always fun to stop by and see your selections.

  3. I wish I was at the beach right now.

    Excellent WWC photos!

  4. Sometimes the stretch for the theme works out great–as with your 6 & Up.

  5. Kcinnova those are all great photos. I love the tree and did the sleepers eventually conk heads? What a sad name for such a beautiful place.

    • No head conking was involved. 😉

Cape Disappointment was named for the trouble ships had there at the mouth of the Columbia River. The sand bars would shift with the tides and the amount of water the river brought to the ocean and ships would run aground.

  6. I love the “Catching Z’s” photo. It reminds me of the men in my family. They can sleep anywhere! 😀

  7. Hey, we both had pictures of family members napping this week!

  8. As you know I can appreciate the beach shots 🙂 Well done catching up. Nice pictures as usual.

  9. Looks like you did well with what you had. I wouldn’t have noticed the birds in the first picture without the look up theme.

  10. Hahaha…I love the Catching Z’s one, too….

  11. I love the Pacific Coast of Washington. We honeymooned at Kalaloch, and then later Long Beach Peninsula was our vacation spot on a regular basis. We liked to stay at the Sou’wester resort in Seaview.
