Check in with Carmi for the Thematic Photographic — a new theme for the week is announced each Wednesday at 7pm.  This week’s theme is perspective.

  1. Oooh, love the turtles! But speaking of perspective, I’m trying to get a feel for how high that last picture was taken from…

    • I’m not sure of the elevation, but the photo was taken at the Spirit Lake overlook at Mt. St. Helens. The glacier-topped mountain peeping over the hills in the background is Mt. Rainier. (There are 2 overlooks/visitor spots at Mt. St. Helens — this is the one in the blast zone where you can see the flattened car.)

  2. I like your interpretation of the theme this week. Nicely played. Also, is that tortoise a pet or wild? Beautiful markings regardless.

  3. Good Lord – at 0530 I shouldn’t be doing this… I was going to ask if the tortoise on the right was an albino – until I checked the eyes.

  4. That is one cute boy! Is he one of yours? 😉 The turtle is okay, too! I’m a bit scared of turtles, though, due to the fact that my brother put his snapping turtle in our plastic pool when I was a kid!

And I may just have to invite myself to your place next. I did enjoy Blognut Manor! 😉

    • Thanks, She! That is SnakeMaster, my youngest (he picks up the box turtles, but he doesn’t handle his leopard gecko). And you are more than welcome — just let me know when! 😀

  5. ha ha Im still laughing at allmycke’s comment because until my eyes focused I too wondered…..

    Here is My Perspective

  6. those are just perfect pictures!!!

  7. Yep, where you are and the company you keep makes ALL the difference! So THAT’s the snake master! He IS a cutie!

  8. Aww that’s great. You demonstrate perspective so well.. and SM has one incredible smile. Geesh that’s contagious. 🙂

  9. There’s always somebody of something else out there to dwarf ya. Love your take on the theme…you are so on the money.

  10. I also wondered about the white turtle, LOL. Great shots.

  11. Beautiful take of this theme 🙂
    Have a great weekend!

  12. Nothing better than mountains and kids to put things in ‘perspective”. Great shots

  13. It took me a minute to figure out that white turtle!

What a darling couple of guys, too!

Love the interpretation of the theme.
