Janet used to host something called “What is it Wednesday” where she would crop a picture down and have us guess what it was the subject of the photograph. We’d leave our guesses and the next week she would post the entire photograph and let us know if we were correct.
I miss it.
So, I have one to share with you this week, and I hope to be able to post new ones on occasion. Here is my first attempt:
Gosh, it looks so much like fraying twine, but I really don’t know. It’ll be interesting to find out. 🙂
I have looked at this photo for a good 10 minutes. I can’t begin to think of what this is. All I can think of is a whisk broom but it doesn’t look stiff enough. So I’m lost.
I really haven’t a clue. Maybe it’s a blanket with some kind of frizzy tassels on the end? Shoot, I don’t know.
I say twine holding firewood together.
I’m with Karen, I think that is fire wood behind the twine (unless it is a rough blanket slightly out of focus). But are we looking at that? Or the fraying twine?
I like the idea, but right now I’m too tired to kick-start my brain for guessing games.
I’ll be back!
I am going with frayed tassels on the end of a wool blanket.
Twine around a cinnamon stick? LOL!
My first thought was twine tying some wood–but the proportions aren’t quite right.
Bringing this back is a grand idea–even if I’m terrible at it!
It looks a bit like corn silk but on.. what? It’s probably twine. 🙂
Twine – around waxy fire starters?

Do you miss it? Really? Should I bring it back?
