Thank you for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers over the past week. My worries have lessened a bit, and I am feeling more positive.
Last Friday was “white out” day at the elementary school: wear white and hope for snow. Snow was not in the forecast for the day, but amazingly it did snow about an inch. I think I was more excited about that little miracle than the kids were!
After a weekend of milder weather, we have returned to below-freezing temperatures and a cold wind.
Today is the perfect day for scented candles and cleaning the house.
Someone unearthed a string of white lights — for what, I do not know — and left them on the floor. They’ve been stepped on at least once. I’ve plugged them in a few times for the ambiance… and safety.
I have lots of extra Christmas lights stuffed into boxes that I’m not going to use. Just thought I’d tell you in case you wanted some other wads of lights to plug in and let sit around. haha
I also have random strings of lights. I picked them all up last night because grandma is coming over today….and she is all judgy.
I guess someone wanted to give you an incentive to hang them (the lights). π
Glad you are feeling more positive! Have a blessed Christmas season!
I like the lights sitting on the floor like that, very pretty.
I would leave those lights just as is π How cool that it snowed on White Out day. We are getting down into the low 60’s at night. Parka weather I tell ya π
It makes me smile reading that you are feeling better…glad you got the excitement of snow…we got dumped on this weekend and that was followed by frigid temps…today it’s even worse…I think it was close to negative 20 this morning…so it’s a good day for cooking and baking and trying to clean…lol…always trying to do that…I would rather have the snow then this cold…hope you find a place to hang those lights. XX
I love the snow falling gently on your blog π Dave draw our Christmas card yesterday…would you like me to send you one?
er…drew
i love love love white lights!! so much so that i keep a strand on my mantle year round for ambiance π
You’re going to start a decorating trend!
I quite like those lights. I’m glad you’re looking on the positive side. π
Find whomever left the lights in the walk way and “decorate” them. π No?
